WEICHAI SHOWCASES BAUDOUIN BACKUP POWER SOLUTIONS AT DATA CENTER ASIA 2026

Weichai Group exhibited at Data Center Asia 2026 on 8–9 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by Informa Markets, the show brought together around 200 exhibitors and 15,000 industry professionals, making it one of the most significant data centre events in the Asia-Pacific region.

At Booth B01 in Hall 3G, Weichai had a 2,750 kVA Baudouin genset on the floor for visitors to examine up close. Baudouin is a French high-end engine brand under the Weichai Group, specializing in the development and manufacture of high-power gensets. Technical staff were on hand to walk visitors through the unit's starting characteristics, load response, and routine maintenance requirements. Several data centre M&E contractors showed particular interest in how the unit performs in redundant parallel configurations, and asked about parts availability and emergency repair turnaround times in Hong Kong.

Weichai invited members of the Hong Kong Electrical Contractors' Association to visit the booth for a technical briefing. The association members discussed foundation mounting, exhaust system design, and load-bank testing procedures with the team, and gave positive feedback on the unit's durable, robust, built-to-last engineering and the strength of local after-sales support. One member noted that data centre uptime demands are unforgiving, and having an authorized distributor with a local repair team on the ground is a significant advantage for contractors.
