Kwong Sang Commissions CNAS-Accredited Laboratory for ISO 8528-5 Generator Set Performance Testing

As Weichai Power's Hong Kong Authorised Service Centre, Kwong Sang Engineering has commissioned an independent, CNAS-accredited third-party testing laboratory to conduct a comprehensive performance assessment of diesel generator sets in accordance with ISO 8528-5, Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine Driven Alternating Current Generating Sets — Part 5: Generating Sets.
ISO 8528-5 is the internationally recognised standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for classifying generator set performance. It defines key technical parameters including voltage regulation, frequency stability, and transient response to load changes, and serves as the benchmark for performance verification and quality assurance across the power generation industry.
The testing was carried out in strict compliance with the procedures set out in ISO 8528-5, with all on-site measurements and data acquisition performed independently by the accredited laboratory using calibrated instrumentation.
